This page explains what storage mechanisms this website uses, why, and what choices you have. The short version: we use one piece of browser storage to remember your theme preference — nothing else.
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They are used for many purposes: keeping you logged in, remembering preferences, tracking behaviour across sites, and serving targeted ads.
This website does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising.
We use one localStorage entry (not a cookie — it never leaves your device or gets sent to our servers):
| Key | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
theme |
localStorage | Remembers your light/dark mode preference so it persists across visits | Until you clear browser storage or change the setting |
This value is set only when you actively toggle the theme switcher. It is never transmitted to our servers, never shared with third parties, and contains no personal information.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google's CDN may log the request as part of their standard infrastructure. This is a standard HTTP request — no cookie or persistent identifier is set by this request in normal circumstances. You can review Google's approach at policies.google.com/privacy.
We have no other third-party scripts, analytics, or tracking services embedded in this site.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Intercom, or any similar tool. We have no advertising partners. Your browsing behaviour on this site is not tracked or profiled.
If you wish to clear the theme preference stored by this site, you can:
joyrun.space, and delete the theme keyThis has no effect on your browsing experience other than resetting the colour scheme to dark mode.
If we ever add analytics or other storage mechanisms, we will update this page before doing so and add a clear notice to the site. We will not add advertising or behavioural tracking.
